Videocon gainS much more than GREATER control over products sold by dealers on ITS webshop

Videocon Industries Limited is a large diversified Indian company headquartered in Mumbai. The organisation has 17 manufacturing websites in India, China, Poland, Italy and Mexico. The core business focus is consumer electronics and home appliances.

In 2015 Videocon wanted Eperium India (now Salmon) to build a hybrid Intershop 7.4 platform suitable for both B2B and B2C consumers. In view of the big ecommerce revolution taking place in India, Videocon wanted to offer all of its products in a brand new webshop.

Eperium India built a comprehensive solution using Intershop 7.4 as a platform to offer the complete range of products to consumers. Videocon was able to manage its entire inventory of dealers using the same portal. Customers are now able to order online and can decide to collect the item at the nearest store or simply get it sent to their home address. Ultimately Eperium India delivered a complete Intershop solution including a responsive website and mobile app for both Android and IOS.

Eperium rolled out this solution for Videocon in different phases. As a result of this project, following launch, customer engagement has increased alongside significant gains in traction. Videocon has been able to meet its primary objective to reach many customers, along with the equally important objective of managing the catalogue for dealers.
